Pranjal Sinha, a lawyer from Bangalore, has been passionately working towards improving access to justice in India.
He co-founded Sama (www.sama.live), an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform which helps people resolve disputes out of court and fully online, and was recognized by Google Start-up Weekend as the Socially Most Innovative Platform of 2015, and by the Department of Justice, Government of India in the top 12 dispute resolution bodies of India, in 2017.
Sama has handled more than 19 lakh+ cases and witnessed 2,00,000+ settlements online. Sama has empanelled 2000+ mediators, arbitrators, case managers who are present in 243 cities across India and fluent in 31+ local languages to help people resolve their disputes fully online.
Pranjal is a TEDx speaker and the youngest recipient of the prestigious JAMS International Fellowship in the world. As a part of the fellowship, he attended the Programme on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
Additionally, Pranjal also conceptualized and is the Chief Coordinator of “Indian Mediation Week”, one of the largest access to justice campaigns in the world. Based on the motto “Suljhao, Magar Pyaar Se” (resolve, with love), the campaign aims to create awareness and sensitize the common man of India with benefits of resolving their disputes by communicating and collaborating, instead of fighting in courts
